Artist Statement
I am interested in the ways in which the structures in both the natural and manmade environment can be interpreted as physical manifestations of time, each mark or change forming part of an historical record and a quiet, visual narrative of the different processes and perspectives that connect the past to the present.
I explore the signs and detail of growth, layering, degeneration and reinvention in my drawings and mixed media pieces to develop a sense of my own connections and my place within this narrative.
